What services do you provide for those taking anabolic steroids (AAS) or PEDs?

Harley Street MD provides healthcare needs to those who are taking, or contemplating taking, Andro-genic Anabolic Steroids (AAS) or other forms of performance enhancing drugs (PEDs).

We have often found our patients to be frustrated from being neglected and ignored by their doctors, despite being more health conscious and motivated to improve their physiques through regular and intense exercises.

At Harley Street MD we are pioneering a one-stop clinic where all your medical needs associated with the use of AAS and PEDs can be addressed, in a confidential space with zero judgement.

Beginners

For those you are curious and are contemplating starting an anabolic cycle, we are here to provide you with clear medical advice surrounding a cycle and the safest ways to proceed. Rather than listen-ing to guys in the gym talking 'bro-science', or dealing with contradictory information across the inter-net, we are here to provide a safe, professional, medical platform. We can educate you from scratch about all forms of AAS and PEDs, explain the side effects, risk and hazards, dosage and injection method and we can teach you how to minimise infection risk and help you to practise safe needle exposure

First Cycle

For those starting their first cycle, Harley Street MD can provide cycle planning advice. We will go through the best possible and safest cycle to achieve your goal, be it bulking to gain more muscle mass or cutting to shred more body fat. We will perform a thorough physical examination (including your baseline fitness level and vital read-ings), carry out a pre-cycle blood work for baseline comparison, and we are able to prescribe any medication necessary to minimise risk and complication. Please note that we do not provide the ana-bolic steroids under prescription for cycle. We only provide medications that counteract the side effects and to restore your natural level after the cycle (i.e. Post Cycle Therapy, PCT)

Experienced

For those who are experienced bodybuilders or powerlifters, we are here to help you minimise your risk and to ring-fence your health.

We deal with patients who may be using numerous enhancements such as:

• Trenbolone

• Nandrolone

• Equipoise

• Primobolan

• Winstrol

• Dianabol

• Anavar

• Superdrol

• LGD4033

• RAD140

• SARMS

• Prohormone

• Growth hormone

• Peptides

• and other PEDs

At Harley Street MD, we offer real help to monitor your blood work, optimise your cycle and manage any side-effects you may experience. Not only we can track your haemoglobin and haematocrit level, but we also provide the facility to perform therapeutic venesection too. We are the first clinic nation-ally that offers this service to help to those taking AAS and PEDs.

Post Cycle

As well as educating and supporting people both before and during a cycle; Harley Street MD also offers Post Cycle Therapy (PCT) as well. We provide prescription medicine to help you restore your Hypothalamo-Pituitary-Testicular-Axis (HPTA) after the cycle. In basic terms, it means we can help you achieve your natural hormonal balance faster after your cycle.

Side effects are not uncommon when taking AAS or PEDs, especially if the dosage and duration of the cycles are intense. At Harley Street MD, we can advise, prevent, manage, and treat, any side effects you may encounter. We have significant experience in resolving side effects such as:

• Gynaecomastia

• Liver function derangement

• Rising prolactin level

• Nipple discharge

• Injection site infection

• High blood pressure

• Sex drive disturbances

Our clinic at First Floor 57A Wimpole Street, London, W1G 8YP is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the independent regulator of all health and social care in England. We are regularly monitored and assessed by the CQC to ensure that the highest quality of care is provided to the public. Through the ongoing monitoring and assessment, our clinic is ensured to meet the five key aspects set by the CQC: that we are safe, effective, caring, responsive to people’s needs and well-led. Harley Street MD has achieved high score in all aspects from the CQC feedback.

Do I need a referral letter?

Harley Street MD does not require you to provide a referral letter.

We understand the difficulty in disclosing sensitive information to your doctors and value your confidentiality. Therefore, we adopt a self-referral service and can assure you that your visit to the clinic will be completely discreet to protect your privacy.

However, if you do have a referral letter or a letter from another clinic, please do bring them with you, as they are undoubtedly helpful for us. If you are currently on a hormone replacement by another clinic and want us to take over the care, please bring all the previous clinic letters, investigation reports and blood test results with you. This will ensure that we can continue your care seamlessly.

Would you inform my GP of the visit?

The confidentiality of our patients is taken extremely seriously. Your visit will not be disclosed to anyone without your explicit consent and instruction. We will not correspondence with anyone unless we have your formal consent in writing.

It is recommended though that you consider informing your GP of your treatment with us. This minimises any accidental drug interactions that might occur from medication prescribed by another doctor unknowingly. This recommendation is for your safety and will allow your GP to give you the best possible treatment plan every time.

If you would like us to inform your GP of your visit, we will give you a letter to pass to your GP. We will only contact your GP directly if it is a medical emergency or you direct us to do so.

Do you share your consultation note with the NHS?

Harley Street MD is a private clinic. This means that your medical notes are separate from the National Healthcare Service. Your records are not linked to the NHS, and we will only disclose or share your treatment plan with your explicit consent and instruction to do so.

With that said, we would recommend that you consider sharing information and treatment plans with your doctors though. It is beneficial for your doctors to have a full understanding of your medical history for future medical care, particularly during a medical emergency.

How long does the consultation take?

All new patients will require a 60-minute first consultation. Any subsequent follow up appointments will likely be 30 minutes. Please allow sufficient time for the consultation when you book the appointment and allow for more time if you have more to discuss with the doctor.

Do I need to come to the clinic earlier than the allocated appointment?

If this is your first time visiting the clinic, we'd recommend you come in 10-15 minutes before your designated appointment so that we can register you with the clinic. All new patients will be required to complete a standard registration form.

What if I am late for my appointment?

Please contact us on 02081278840 if you might be late for the appointment. We will always do our best to try to accommodate.

Please understand that if you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, we may only have sufficient time to conduct an assessment consultation, and any procedures will need to be rearrange for another date.

Please note that if you miss more than half of your allotted appointment then we will have to reschedule your appointment altogether.

Do I need to fast, and can I eat anything before the appointment?

If this is your first appointment, we generally recommend a blood test for baseline. If there is concern about your diabetes status and cholesterol level, we recommend you fasting for 10 hours prior to your appointment for the blood test. This is because a fasting sample provides a more accurate reading on your blood sugar and cholesterol profiles. You can drink water, black tea, or black coffee and it is important to make sure you are not dehydrated, drinking plenty of water before the appointment.

If no blood test is required for your consultation, especially if you are coming in for therapeutic venesection, we recommend you have something to eat and drink before the appointment.

Do I have to book a morning appointment?

If you want or need to check your natural testosterone level, we recommend an appointment before 11:30am. This is because natural testosterone level peaks in the morning and therefore to get a good reading of your natural level, a blood sample should be taken before 11:30am following a good night’s sleep. Please be aware that if you require a fasting blood test sample, you may choose to have the morning appointment to avoid a longer fasting period.

In any other case, it will be more flexible and blood test can be conducted at any time of the day. If testosterone level is required during an anabolic (AAS) cycle, it is best to be taken on

the day of your AAS injection but BEFORE the injection (i.e. trough level, to assess your level on the lowest day). You therefore do not necessarily need to have a morning sample if you are on exogenous testosterone injection. You can pick any time of the day for your appointment if you are on your cycle and is on exogenous testosterone.

What if I do not know which type of consultation I should book?

Please do not worry. At Harley Street MD team, we are here to help and guide you through your options. In most circumstances, if you are unsure what is an appropriate course of action for you, we would recommend simply booking a 60-minute appointment for your initial appointment, we will take care of the rest. If it is more cost effective to put you on a package, we will discuss that and offer that to you to help you save cost.

What if you do not have an appointment when I require a blood test?

If you require a blood test, and you do not need a consultation, we are able to offer a premium service for having your blood test done at the HCA laboratory. This service is only offered to regular patients who need to monitor certain level within your regular treatment. This offer does not apply to new patients who have never seen any of our doctors before to avoid wrong test to be ordered.

Following payment for the Blood Tests, Harley Street MD will generate a request form to HCA laboratories. You simply need to go to 18 Wimpole Street anytime between 08:00 to 15:00 (Monday to Friday) for the blood test. It is a very short 2-3 minutes walk from our clinic which is 57A Wimpole Street.

HCA lab runs an outpatient phlebotomy service at 18 Wimpole Street, W1G 8GT, you do not need a prearranged appointment as there are many phlebotomists on site that will take the blood sample for you with minimal waiting time. We do however recommend calling the HCA Outpatient Lab to book an appointment to ensure your visit is expected and they are open for business.

The results will be sent to us electronically when ready. You will have the freedom to go back to your daily routine right after the blood test, at a time of your choosing.

The contact number for HCA laboratories Outpatient Service is 0207 224 2565 in case you prefer to make an appointment rather than walking-in.

What is your turnover time for test results?

One of the benefits of choosing Harley Street MD is we are located at the epicentre of medical district. We have all the medical amenities nearby.

Most blood test results will be available to us within six hours, with very little exception.

Xrays, ultrasounds and MRI results will generally be reported within 24-48 hours. Semen analysis can take longer due to the need to culture the sample; it can takes up to 7 working days.

How to you convey my test results to me?

If you have a follow up appointment booked, we will discuss the result in person in your next visit. We will be able to answer all your questions you may have at the same time too.

If you don't have a follow up appointment booked, we will usually send the results to you by email. To protect your privacy and confidentiality, our clinic uses the encryption service Egress when emailing medical results. This ensures your data is protected and not susceptible to interception.

To access an email sent using Egress, you will need to register with Egress with the email ad-dress you provided to Harley Street MD. There are no charges to you to do this, and you will not be asked for any credit card details when registering with Egress. There will not be any spam mail or third-party app associated the Egress either.

We do not send results by postal mail to ensure your confidentiality; however, you can pro-vide us with instruction to do so if you wish.

Can I get treatment on the same day?

In most circumstances we will be able to begin a management plan after a thorough consultation and examination. In the event where blood result is needed and essential in determining whether certain medications are indicated, we will be able to offer the service as soon as we have received any relevant test results.

How much does it cost?

Consultations are charged at £200 for an up to 30 minutes and £300 for up to 60-minutes. These costs exclude additional charges that may be required for conducting blood tests and any required medications.

Please note investigations (e.g. blood test, urine test, radiological investigations, semen analysis, infection screening) and medications are individually priced and charged separately to the consultation.

Do I need to pay a deposit to book an appointment?

Our clinic is very popular and to avoid non-attendance and ensure fairness to other clients, we ask for a £150 deposit when booking an appointment. Until the payment is made, your appointment is considered as booked and remains available to another patient.

Your deposit is redeemable against any treatment or service provided by the clinic.

We require 48 hours for all cancellation or rescheduling, any notice period less than this will result in forfeiting your deposit.

Appointments can only be moved to within 3 months of the original appointment, and you can re-schedule up to three times before losing your deposit.

If you are over 15 minutes late for your appointment, we reserve the right to cancel your appointment and we cannot refund your deposit. The clinic does have overhead and business

charges, any failure to attend will still incur a cost at our end which we have to recover which we hope is understandable.

Can I claim against my medical insurance?

It is unlikely that you would be able to claim your treatment from your medical insurance as policies rarely cover wellness procedure. Insurance policies can vary though, so we recommend you confirm with your insurance company prior to moving forward with any procedures. We cannot guarantee your claim, please enquire that with your insurance before making the appointment. We do not deal directly with any insurance company; it is therefore your responsibility to claim the insurance your-self. We do charge £50 for any paper works that needs to be completed, as it will take out the doc-tors’ time to complete the form which we hope is a reasonable policy.

Can I get the medication that I need straight away?

Yes. Harley Street MD is registered to General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). We are in partnership with a registered pharmacy for dispensary on Great Portland Street. We will be able to provide medication for majority of the medication needed for a patient's health and sexual health im-mediately. This service is great, especially for those prefer not to obtain health related medication near where they live.

We can also write a prescription for you to get any medication you need from our main pharmacy site, or any other pharmacies you choose from. We also have liaison with concierge pharmacy service where same day delivery is possible especially for those living within M25.

Do you prescribe anabolic steroids?

We help to monitor those taking anabolic steroids, but we do not prescribe testosterone for anabolic cycle purposes.

What Harley Street MD can do is provide the supporting structure by prescribing medications during your cycle and post cycle therapy at the end, minimising risk and treating any complication.

We often prescribe medications such as clomifeine, tamoxifene raloxifen, anastrozole, exemestane, letrozole, cabergoline, HCG, bacteriostatic saline to name a few. We will monitor your testosterone, oestrogen, and prolactin level in your blood during your cycle as well. Medications are based on your side effects profile and are cycle specific. Please note that the decision for prescription is based on the consultation, examination and blood work, final decision lies with the doctor. Please be aware most medications are prescription medications and not over the counter medications, therefore the responsibility of the prescription falls on the doctors. We will only prescribe medications needed for your specific case.

What if I need a repeat prescription?

Repeat medication can be posted to you for your convenience. They can be sent directly from our pharmacy by first class mail or special delivery. Do confirm your delivery address before making an order with our administration team. Repeat prescription is charged at £50. We do not prescribe more than 3 months supply of any medication.

For safety reason, only patients that have been seen in the clinic within the last 6 months can take the advantage of our remote prescription service. If you have not had a follow up for

more than 6 months, please make an appointment for assessment for suitability for continuation of medication.
