Our clinic at First Floor, 57A Wimpole Street, London, W1G 8YP is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the independent regulator of all health and social care in England. We are regularly monitored and assessed by the CQC to ensure that the highest quality of care is provided to the public. Through the ongoing monitoring and assessment, our clinic is ensured to meet the five key aspects set by the CQC: that we are safe, effective, caring, responsive to people’s needs and well-led. Harley Street MD has achieved high score in all aspects from the CQC feedback. Our CQC rating is GOOD and can be verified via the CQC website for authenticity.
Harley Street MD does not require you to provide a referral letter.
We understand the difficulty in disclosing sensitive information to your doctors and value your confidentiality. Therefore, we adopt a self-referral service and can assure you that your visit to the clinic will be completely discreet to protect your privacy.
However, if you do have a referral letter or a letter from another clinic, please do bring them with you, as they are undoubtedly helpful for us. If you are currently on a hormone replacement by another clinic and want us to take over the care, please bring all the previous clinic letters, investigation reports and blood test results with you. This will ensure that we can continue your care seamlessly.
The confidentiality of our patients is taken extremely seriously. Your visit will not be dis-closed to anyone without your explicit consent and instruction. We will not correspondence with anyone unless we have your formal consent in writing.
It is recommended though that you consider informing your GP of your treatment with us. This minimises any accidental drug interactions that might occur from medication prescribed by another doctor unknowingly. This recommendation is for your safety and will allow your GP to give you the best possible treatment plan every time.
If you would like us to inform your GP of your visit, we will give you a letter to pass to your GP. We will only contact your GP directly if it is a medical emergency or you direct us to do so.
Harley Street MD is a private clinic. This means that your medical notes are separate from the National Healthcare Service. Your records are not linked to the NHS and we will only disclose or share your treatment plan with your explicit consent and instruction to do so.
With that said, we would recommend that you consider sharing information and treatment plans with your doctors though. It is beneficial for your doctors to have a full understanding of your medical history for future medical care, particularly during a medical emergency.
The majority of all new patients will require an initial 60 minute consultation. Any subsequent follow up appointments will then likely be 30 minutes.
Our testosterone replacement therapy package, growth hormone rejuvenation package and combination package each include a 60 minute appointment as well as a 30 minute follow up. The 60 minute appointment will involve a thorough examination and blood work whilst the 30 minute follow up will be used to discuss the test results, management plan and to prescribe any medication or conduct any procedure.
Our appointments for follow up testosterone injections, usually take up to 30 minutes; how-ever, if you would like longer appointment with the doctor about other matters, it is important to let the clinic know when you are booking the appointment so that further time can be allocated.
If this is your first time visiting the clinic, we'd recommend you come in five or ten minutes before your designated appointment so that we can register you with the clinic. All new patients will be required to complete a standard registration form.
Please contact us on 02081278840 if you might be late for the appointment. We will always do our best to try to accommodate.
Please understand that if you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, we may only have sufficient time to conduct an assessment consultation, and any procedures will need to be re-arrange for another date.
Please note that if you miss more than half of your allotted appointment then we will have to re-schedule your appointment altogether.
Testosterone replacement therapy & Growth hormone rejuvenation therapy
You do not need to fast for the appointment unless you are worried about your cholesterol profile and fasting blood glucose level, in those cases, we would recommend you fasting for ten hours prior to your appointment. This is a fasting sample provides a more accurate reading on your blood sugar and cholesterol profiles. You can drink water, black tea, or black coffee. Do make sure you are not dehydrated and ensure that you drink plenty of water before the appointment.
If not, we would recommend you just having light meal and do not need to fast prior to the appointment and if high glucose or high cholesterol is to be detected, we will advise the follow up monitoring to be fasted.
Sexual Health screening
You do not need to fast if you are coming in for a sexual health screening; however, we do advise that patients avoid passing urine for at least one hour before the appointment, ideally two hours.
Urine tests for chlamydia and gonorrhoea are only accurate if you have not passed urine for at least one hour before the sample collection.
Follow up and injections
If your appointment is a follow up appointment such as a testosterone injection, and you are not going to provide a blood test particularly looking at previously high blood glucose or cholesterol level, then you do not need to fast.
We advise you to have something to eat and drink before any appointment to avoid hypoglycaemia prior to any injections.
Testosterone replacement therapy appointments ideally to be booked for the morning. This is due to natural testosterone levels being at their peak in the morning and therefore to get a
good reading of your natural level, a blood sample should be taken before 11:30am following a good night’s sleep.
All other types of consultations can be more flexible around your needs; however, if you are required to provide a fasting sample for a blood test, we recommend a morning appointment for your comfort.
Please do not worry. At Harley Street MD team, we are here to help and guide you through your options. In most circumstances, if you are unsure what is an appropriate course of action for you, we would recommend booking a 60-minute appointment (£300) for your initial appointment.
During the consultation, if it is more appropriate for you to be on the testosterone replace-ment therapy or growth hormone rejuvenation package, then we will offer to move you over, saving you money. Equally, if you have booked for a package, and it becomes clear that this is not appropriate for you, then we will offer to adjust that too. You will never pay more than you should. We will always automatically save you money if your treatment is more cost effective to be in a package.
If you are interested in both the testosterone replacement therapy package and growth hormone package together, you do not need to pay for each separately.
Individually the testosterone replacement therapy package and the growth hormone rejuvenation package are £800. If you want to combine these, we will charge £995 instead of £1600, providing you a saving of £605. We will combine the consultation and blood test together, and you will only be charged for the additional blood test with no duplication on consultation cost.
If you require a blood test, and you do not need a consultation, we are able to offer a premium service for having your blood test done at the HCA laboratory. This service is only offered to regular patients who need to monitor certain level within your regular treatment. This offer does not apply to new patients who have never seen any of our doctors before to avoid wrong test to be ordered.
Following payment for the Blood Tests, Harley Street MD will generate a request form to HCA laboratories. You simply need to go to 18 Wimpole Street anytime between 08:00 to 15:00 (Monday to Friday) for the blood test. It is a very short 2-3 minutes walk from our clinic which is 57A Wimpole Street.
HCA lab runs an outpatient phlebotomy service at 18 Wimpole Street, W1G 8GT, you do not need a prearranged appointment as there are many phlebotomists on site that will take the blood sample for you with minimal waiting time. We do however recommend to call to book an appointment to ensure your visit is expected and they are open for business.
The results will be sent to us electronically when ready. You will have the freedom to go back to your daily routine right after the blood test, at a time of your choosing.
The contact number for HCA laboratories Outpatient Service is 0207 224 2565 in case you prefer to make an appointment rather than walking-in.
One of the benefits of choosing Harley Street MD is we are located at the epicentre of medical district. We have all the medical amenities nearby.

For testosterone replacement therapy and growth hormone rejuvenation therapy, treatment will be offered at your follow up appointment. This can be arranged on the same day as the consultation, if there is enough time between the morning and afternoon appointment for the blood results to be processed and returned (approximately 6 hours).
If you are experiencing erectile dysfunction and/or premature ejaculation, we can offer treatment on the same day as your consultation.
Consultations are charged at £200 for an up to 30 minutes and £300 for up to 60-minutes. These costs exclude additional charges that may be required for conducting blood tests and any required medications.

The growth hormone rejuvenation (GH) package costs £800. This cost includes one 60 minute consultation, one 30 minute follow up and all relevant blood tests.
If both TRT and GH packages are combined, the total cost is £995 in total. This cost includes one 60 minute consultation, one 30 minute follow up and all required blood tests from both the TRT and GH packages.
Please note that all medications are individually priced and not included in the package as we would not know which medication would you required before the blood test report.
Our clinic is very popular and to avoid non-attendance and ensure fairness to other clients, we ask for a £150 deposit when booking an appointment. Until the payment is made, your appointment is considered as booked and remains available to another patient.
Your deposit is redeemable against any treatment or service provided by the clinic.
We require 48 hours for all cancellation or rescheduling, any notice period less than this will result in forfeiting your deposit.
Appointments can only be moved to within 3 months of the original appointment, and you can re-schedule up to three times before losing your deposit.
If you are over 15 minutes late for your appointment, we reserve the right to cancel your appointment and we cannot refund your deposit. The clinic does have overhead and business charges, any failure to attend will still incur a cost at our end which we have to recover which we hope is understandable.
It is unlikely that you would be able to claim your treatment from your medical insurance as policies rarely cover wellness procedure. Insurance policies can vary though, so we recommend you confirm with your insurance company prior to moving forward with any procedures. We do not deal directly with any insurance company; it is therefore your responsibility to claim the insurance your-self. We do charge £50 for any paper works that needs to be completed, as it will take out the doc-tors’ time to complete the form which we hope is a reasonable policy.
