In the UK, the authority only approves license for biodegradable dermal fillers. These fillers are being absorbed gradually over time and are therefore not permanent. The officials have banned permanent dermal fillers in the UK and rightly so because they are dangerous and may cause irreversible damage to your skin. Chin fillers are long-lasting but not permanent, Juvéderm Voluma lasts 12-18 months, whereas the latest Juvéderm Volux lasts 18-24 months.
Dermal fillers are pharmaceutical-grade, gel-like injectables designed specifically to restore volume, provide lift, smooth out wrinkles, and fill in deep folds. They are very popular due to their effectiveness and versatile nature. We use them to rejuvenate, volumise, plump, and sculpt attractive facial contours. New ways of using dermal fillers are constantly being discovered. Depending on their ingredients, some dermal fillers have added benefits such as stimulating collagen and improving skin hydration. Dermal fillers have become a true contender to plastic surgery over the years, helping people avoid invasive and expensive cosmetic operations.
Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers are the most popular and safest type of dermal fillers. They consist of stabilised, non-animal-based hyaluronic acid. The HA gel is skin-friendly and integrates well with the tissues, closely resembling the hyaluronic acid that exists naturally in the body. Hyaluronic acid fillers improve skin texture by helping the skin retain hydration, and they are long-lasting yet dissolvable.
Cheek fillers require high “G-prime” fillers for lift and longevity. We use Juvéderm® Voluma from the Vycross range by Allergan®, a premium HA filler known for excellent lift and long-lasting results (up to 18 months).
Choose hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers for facial injection because they are safer. Any other fillers are riskier; the reason is HA fillers can be easily and quickly dissolved by hyaluronidase (e.g. Hyalase). This is an important safety net should we ever need to remove it.
Pharmaceutical companies do not harvest HAs from animals or human beings; they made them synthetically in the laboratories. The products are sterile, vegan-friendly, and safe. HA fillers are not permanent, but they are very long-lasting. Your body’s natural existing hyaluronidase enzymes will slowly disintegrate the HA fillers, turn them into water and absorb the water. No residuals will remain. HA fillers are non-toxic, biodegradable, and safe. Millions of people worldwide have tried them.
MD Codes™ are a structured system of injection points developed by aesthetic experts to produce natural and balanced facial rejuvenation. At Harley Street MD, we use the full set of MD Codes™ to assess and treat your facial structure holistically.
This technique uses five specific injection points (CK1–5) to lift, define and restore cheek volume for balanced, natural-looking results. It allows precise, layered volumisation with minimal product and maximum effect.
Yes. Enhancing cheek volume improves facial proportions and can make the lower face appear slimmer. This effect can be enhanced by combining with other treatments like jawline slimming.
Yes. Non-surgical aesthetic treatments like dermal fillers can be performed immediately after your consultation, provided you're medically suitable and happy to proceed.
We start with numbing cream for comfort, assess your symmetry, mark injection points, and clean the skin with antiseptic. Filler is then injected using either needle or cannula. We may gently massage the area to ensure a smooth, natural contour.
The procedure takes 30–45 minutes, including preparation and treatment.
Results are immediate, but final results appear after 10–14 days as any swelling subsides and HA integrates fully into the tissue.
Minimal downtime. Mild swelling or redness usually resolves within 1–3 days. Bruising, if present, typically resolves within 3–5 days. Most clients resume daily activities right away.
It’s best to sleep on your back for at least 2 nights. Using a travel pillow or rolled towel under your neck can help reduce pressure on treated areas.
Cheek fillers typically last 12–18 months. Longevity varies depending on metabolism, lifestyle, and product used. We use Juvéderm® Voluma for its long-lasting results.
Yes. HA fillers can be dissolved using hyaluronidase. If we perform your treatment, we offer this service free within 3 months of the procedure. After that, dissolving costs £250 per session.
HA fillers gradually break down and are absorbed. The skin slowly returns to baseline, often looking more hydrated and youthful than before treatment. We recommend repeating treatment every 10–12 months for maintenance.

If a top-up is needed (after swelling has subsided), additional filler is charged at £450 per syringe, since new product is required. The follow-up appointment itself remains free of charge.
We recommend waiting at least 1 week before flying, especially long-haul. Changes in cabin pressure may worsen swelling. We also prefer clients to be available for follow-up within 2 weeks.
